Date Finished:

Status:  In progress

4/9/2016 - The Firewall panel had to be trimmed to size.

Then drilled out the rivets holding the flange on the U2 bulkhead MF03-163.

Laid out the rivet lines on the firewall then match drilled the firewall and the hat sections.  At this time I matched drilled the U2 existing holes with the firewall and matched drilled the holes in the firewall for the engine mount.

Backside view of Bulkhead #2 -

hear you can see the the side formers MF03-207 fitted in place

Note: The extra frame gussets create a challenge when attaching hat sections.  On the side of bulkhead @2 there are side gussets which prevent a hat section to wrap around the square frame tube. Here I had to modify a hat section that only covers the backside of the tube.  This will be silicone in place then bonded and riveted to the firewall.

10/4/2016 - 4 hrs - Bond with Silicon hat sections and u-channels bond with  bulkhead #2, front side in place and cleo.

10/6/2016 - 3 hrs -  Bond with Uralane Bulkhead #2

10/9/2016 - 4 hrs - Rivet Bulkhead #2 in place.   Note: Didn’t rivet the formers and center b racket these will be b ended and riveted later

10/15/2016 - 2 hrs - Finished Bulkhead #2 - glued and bond Formers with Uralane in plane.

10/16/2016 - 4 hrs - Riveted Bulkhead #2
